Allianz Life Selects Architect to Design New Office Building on Corporate Campus

January, 2005 - Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America selected Architectural Alliance to design an expansion to their existing corporate campus in Golden Valley. The project includes approximately 200,000 square feet of office space, a link to their existing Corporate Headquarters Building, and an addition to their parking ramp. The project will enhance communication and efficiencies within Allianz Life and support their need for substantial growth. Construction is expected to begin in the spring of 2005 and is scheduled for completion by November of 2006.

"Our business has tripled over the past five years and our employee population has doubled," says Denise Blizil, Senior Vice President of Enterprise Services. "We've set new production records in 2004, and anticipate continued growth in the years ahead. We are very excited about building a new facility that will create an even greater quality work environment for our employees."

Architectural Alliance developed Allianz Life's master plan for their Golden Valley Campus and designed their current corporate headquarters building, which the company occupied in 2001. Over the past three years, Allianz Life has increased its local staffing by some 50 percent, reaching over 1,800 at the end of 2004. "Allianz Life is a dynamic company. We're thrilled with their decision and we really look forward to continuing our working relationship on this exciting project," added Tom DeAngelo, Principal at Architectural Alliance.

A Minnesota-based firm providing planning, architecture, and interior design services, Architectural Alliance has provided enduring design solutions for many of Minnesota's leading corporations for over 30 years.
