In a strategic effort to improve productivity and communication,
The State of Minnesota Department of Administration and three
state agencies – the Departments of Agriculture, Health, and Human
Services – repositioned employees from twelve buildings
into a total of three new State buildings in downtown St. Paul.
Architectural
Alliance led the programming, stack planning, and space planning
efforts for these new State buildings. The Orville L Freeman Office
Building for the Departments of Agriculture & Health, the Elmer
L Andersen Human Services Building, and the Minnesota Departments
of Agriculture & Health
Laboratory Building.
Architectural
Alliance conducted client interviews, wrote the building programs,
developed stack plans, conducted bay studies, and worked with
the architectural teams developing the work place design concepts
through design development.Architectural Alliance developed the
furniture budgets, detailed space plans, and final furniture recommendations,
including specifications for both new and reused furnishings.
