The renovation and expansion of the Minnesota! Store at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport makes it twice the size of the original store. It is now the largest store in the main terminal at the Minneapolis - St. Paul International Airport.

One of the challenges for the design team
was to provide the desired amount of expanded display into the new configuration while retaining a free flowing circulation for bag-encumbered travelers. Pine beams have been added to the ceiling to add warmth, re-confirm the north woods-like concept, and to carry this consistent design feature throughout the existing and new space. Part of the goal for this expansion was
to offer a more upscale look to accommodate higher end merchandise, such as handcrafted ceramics, glass, and jewelry, much of which is locally designed and manufactured. The heart
of the store is a new inlaid porcelain tile
mosaic depicting Minnesota critters around
the campfire.

Together the design and the Minnesota themed merchandise offer travelers and natives alike a memorable visit.
